Description

Captured 11/3/14, early morning, at the entrance to my kitchen. Had just returned home after my morning walk, and found the rapidly diminishing light from the front window just perfect for this image. Had to work fast on this one, so little time for perfect alignment of the shoes. Arrivederci, baby.

It's funny how the shadows look like gift bags; I'm sure there's some sort of correlation between the function of those shoes in carrying you out on your wanderings for photos and the concept of gift bags. Well seen and an excellent capture, Harry!

Lol---gift bags (denise). (The shadows do look like gift bags!) Well I said this was the next in the series: Nope. It's the FIRST in the series. But same series. This one would've been great for halloween, because the shoes look like monster faces with dracula-like lighting. (I vant to suck your bloooooood, they seem to say...) Great contrasts, love the laces all tangling-away on top of the shoes. And the light on the shoe-rims is eerie and intense; and the light in back of, and around the shoes is also eerie and intense. Like when we were kids and we shone flashlights on our faces in the dark...The textured floor is a fine contrast from the carpet...and, again, you've shown your innate sense of the music of shadows and light. Love this series. I'm telling you, if you hired a team of light-specialists, straight from Hollywood, you wouldn't do better. Terrific.
