Description

Just thought I'd post this to let you all know I'm still alive... You may have noticed I've been a little slow lately - both with commenting, and with posting new pages in the story. This is temporary, I assure you. Between work and lots of other happenings here, time is at a premium. I've picked up a bunch of new goodies from contests I've entered at other sites (don't have much luck here..), and am attempting to learn some new stuff. I'm also working to improve my skills with Vue - and this render is a bit of a WIP. Some of the long-time followers of the T.N.A. story will recognize this place - it's the old homestead where Ar and G4 encountered the mech sent by the Stooge Aliens. Ar managed to disable it, and after connecting a laptop, managed to walk it to the metal shed on the right, and hid it there. I imported the buildings (all freebies by Dryjack - thank you very much!) into Vue along with their textures, and placed them using the original Poser artwork as a reference. This location will figure prominently in the next couple of pages in the story. I've also been busy installing some new equipment in my shop, and there will be more coming soon. I want to get my shop set up so I can start creating some items I can sell - I,m getting tired of fixing copiers, and want to retire sometime in the near future. I need something to supplement Social Security - assuming that "O" guy leaves something there for us old farts... I'm also working on updating my sadly neglected website with some new content. Anyway..... I'm working on getting caught up on comments, so bear with me. LOL Hope everyone is having a great weekend! As always, thanks so much for dropping by, and for all your wonderful comments and support - and mostly for your friendships and your own inspirational artwork! You all rock!

You are a jack of all trades. Vue too! I keep telling myself to learn that program but so far inertia (pure laziness actually) has stood in the way. Good luck with all your projects. Better busy than bored.

Fabulous! It could pass for a photo. Glad to know an old fart can learn new skills being one myself. :-) It will be great to see this in the new story.

I thought it was a photo in the small size! Yes, I recognize this place now :) It looks really great, Rod! You are indeed a 'jack of all trades' with all these programs you've learned, are learning. You always do well, so I'm sure you can do what you are planning! And yes, to what Mike said. There's more to worry about with the Republicans than "O". In a frothing display of reactionary voting at it's finest, in spite of and because of many things, we are now totally screwed...imo.

at a time when I was still remodeling stores, there were so many things that I could have sold instead of dumping.lived in an apartment at the time. I threw away many very expensive deli machines, just because the company did not want deli's. oh well, those days are long gone. outstanding composition of your scene and models

Vue renders outdoor scenes very well Hotrod and you show it's capabilities off very very well. I assume you will keep bashing away at it, to improve even further?

now by the way i need to update my website as well,i left it a bit alone along the way what with all that has happened over the last twelve months.now the "Obozo" guy i call him "golden Boy"lol,i dont think any of these vokkers be it democraps or repfarts will leave anything for any of us farts. i think as soon as they are ready to clone their slaves in big scale, they migt "gass" or "ebolize" 3-4 billion humans, after all we are overpopulating the planet and eatin up "their"ressources.and on the other side clones with build in chip`s will not go on strike, will not talk back and above all will not develop any ideas of their own, easy to control.there will be only super rich ,super poor and of course the clones.and in the near future they will be able to develop the necessary stuff to go to Mars more quickly, here on earth they have their bunkers and so on.for us little crappos the time has come.......................

Cool scene. Dryjack has some really nice stuff for free. I would not want to fix copiers, either, Claude. I am a retired newswoman and that was a frantic job, I'll tell you.

Hey Rod, Did the old homestead get built by the same Scottish stone masons that worked for Robert McClure Snyder? Atta boy for working with Vue. Is there anything out there you don't do? :-)))
