Description
This was a real treat for me! I have a thing about these wonderful trees. Short lived (as trees go) but quick to colonise any area of cleared ground. I've been here, Hodge quarry, many times but not ever had light like this! The whole area of abandoned quarry working is covered with Silver birch. They stand out even on rainy days. This was special, sunlight bursting through the dark clouds!
