It is indeed a starling. These are a non native bird here in the USA. Most people call them pest. As you have captured in this most excellent photo, they are beautiful birds. They are also quite intelligent. When I was a child, a realitive of mine raised one. She luved alone and spent a lot if time talking to him. By the time Star came to live with us he was speaking as well as a parrot. His vocabulary grew to an astounding number of words. It still hurts me to hear people talk about starlings as a pest and about killing them. Great capture of a beauty
