Description

Sevaril - the rangers. (Zoom a must!) I have for long been thinking of doing something like this, a gathering of characters in my story "Sevaril" with respect to the old painting masters like Rembrandt van Rijn. The work with ligting was a puzzle and is my own, as well as all poseres he. From left (sitting) the dwarf Zhouvalkar, salesman, storyteller and liar! Next to him Ladyknight Darkhawk, Nightshades halfsister - she is both human and demon, but a friendly joker as well as the most powerful magic sorceress on Earth. Had become a very close friend to Iphis. Next (back row) the black elven Amthar Rashen, Nightshade's mentor, when the last one was much younger. Loyal but also he has his secrets from his early life over 800 years ago. Next to him, Jago Gann, a tall bony man, never to be underestimated. He is said to be able to hide in his own shadow. Never show any feelings. Lazy looking, but a killer. Often Nightshades right hand in dangerous missions. Has a low monotome voice, maybe caused by the old scar on his neck. Besides him the biggest riddle, Melkhin with the beer, former soldier he says, but no one really knows much about him, except he rides and fights loyally together with the rest of group. In the front row left, Worfrant, hunter and ingenious carpenter, together with the dwarf Zhouvalkar and the blackelven Amthar, unofficially called "the A-team". Worfrant is secretly in loved in the halfelven bard, Linu le An who has the most beautiful voice in the whole world, many say. She has a great artists temper, a true diva - but is at the same time also the most motherly to others in the group. When she starts playing and then singing, any other sound turns quickly into silence. The really big guy next to the beer drinking Melkhin is Felarind of the mountainous race of Akeene. This powerhouse, a skilled blacksmith, just have to show up to calm things down. He is normally a friendly and a bit shy guy but to much beer, and he can change violently. He too have feelings for Linu le An. The next two front right are Marsharpiel Tenno, Nighshades 20 year old halfnightelven daughter and the former soldier and mercenary, Merrick Vale. He can make the somewhat quiet Marsharpiel to laugh, Merrick is not always knowing why. They often end up in each others company with Merrick as the most talking. Far right, Iphis Bliss, the heir to the throne of the mighty Kingdome of Korr with the Crowns Ranger in the North, Nightshade Woodborn. Iphis - raised as a farmgirl by a foster family, educated by the wise wizard Pentwahir and very skilled in any kind of weapons - is a very bright young woman who get people to listen when she talks. As the daughter of the missing crownprince she wants to find out who her mother is and then solve a lot of puzzles to understand what actually happened 800 years ago before she hopefully will be seated on the throne. Nightshade had protected Iphis with his rangers - unseen - from she was six and first now as 20 years old gets it revealed. Nighshade, loyal and careful is a bit ambivalent to this sometimes impulsive young, very pretty woman's interest in him. Strong blue eyes and a very lovely smile, but at the same age as his own daugther Marsharpiel.. But Iphis sees this midforty man as a outmost handsome and caring man - and the hints of gray in the black hair is charming... How to resist?.. Best wishes to all :o) JohnnyC / Rhanagaz

This has got to be one of your absolute best ever, Johnny! There is so much detail, and you really nailed the lighting here! It's very dramatic, and gives a wonderful feeling of the atmosphere in the tavern - and yet allows us to see each character well enough to form an insight to each one's personality. This is outstanding, and I do believe Rembrandt would highly approve!
