Description
This is one of the sandhill cranes at the sanctuary. I posted a close up earlier. I have never seen one of these except in pictures. I think they are so beautiful and elegant. These were so curious about me that I was able to interact with them. I was so caught up in this that I am sorry to say that I missed several photos. Maybe if I go back I can do better. Then again, maybe not. I had way too much fun!

it's wonderful to see a close-up of this beautiful bird. We spend our winters in South Texas, and flocks of sandhill cranes will be flying over our house later in the season. it's a joint to see them in such large numbers.
