Description

Captured 11/7/14, early am, on my way to the 99+ cent store. I tried to go anahata.c high key on this without washing everything out. Whenever I see anything leaning, I invariably think of the Tower of Pisa. Totziens.

I'm flattered you'd think of me, with your high key, but the shot is 100% you! The decayed and striated fence (more visible in zoom), the rhythms going down the length of the fence, the strong enveloping light effecting the whole scene---in that early morning blast that you get from time to time---the textures in the concrete, and the play of shadows not only from the trees, but within the fence-slats themselves. And a flare---faint, but I love it, in total pink to boot. Your early morning shots have a high key all their own, Harry, and this one warrants it totally; and that bleached light in the background makes it look like a big desolate desert back there. (Well it is, I guess---if there weren't a city on top of it...) A rich, complex shot, and I love the fence to begin with. Thanks for associating me with it, I'm flattered!

Looks like a strong wind might render this fence as firewood. Excellent POV, and facing into the sun definitely helps highlight the condition. Great photo.

Looks like they better hurry and get that fence fixed soon or it will collapse, Harry.

Yes, it doesn't seem long for this world, a breeze will bring that down, I think. Lovely treatment, and I also love that pink/purple flare that looks like another universe superimposed on our own. Well done, my friend.

The textures are wonderful and the wobbling line of the fence just draws you in.
