The pirate captain has a bottle of rum to celebrate finding the lost long treasure chest in the Caribbean at sunset.
Notes: Wow, my first finished artwork since the beginning of February. (The aforementioned artwork is Cecaelia.) This is also my first artwork since having to fix my computer by reinstalling the OS and everything else. Also my first artwork using both Poser Pro 2014 and Victoria 6 via DSON for Poser. The DSON plug-in has gotten a lot better since the first time I tried it and I'm really enjoying working with the new Genesis 2 series of figures which includes Victoria 6. When I decided to sit down and create an artwork, I didn't know what to do at first. I looked over at the wall behind my desk and saw a poster of an old artwork of mine featuring a female pirate that I always thought I could have done better. So, I just started from scratch and created a new artwork with a similar theme. I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out.
Technical Notes: As mentioned, I created this using Victoria 6 which is based on Daz3D's Genesis 2 base. I worked on this completely in Poser Pro 2014 using the DSON importer which worked wonderfully for the figure, her clothes, and her hair. The rest of the scene are native Poser props and figures. The light setup is IDL based. I enhanced the finished render in Photoshop CS6 using a variety of filters and actions to adjust the depth of field perception, colors and contrast, and to enhance the details plus fixed a few little poke-through errors here and there. I also used an overlay to add a more vivid sunset in the background using layers and a rendered mask.
