I'd surrender and lay on the floor in the fetal position. I love how you used a minimalistic background to draw the eye to the subject. Your lovely characters could have very easy have gotten lost in a crowded scene. Instead simple smoke does the trick with setting the scene and not drawing away from your subjects.
