Description
The wind and the rain have carved out such fantastical shapes in the sandstone that you can find yourself walking around with your mouth open. But if you concentrate only on the stones you miss a lot. The environment affects everything. While walking down a path I came across a bearded dragon. Our eyes met and I snapped a picture before moving on.
If you zoom you may catch a glimpse of smoke coming from its nostrils.

He has an enigmatic expression. Our ancestors must have been startled at every turn in the path.

An excellent 'spot' Mark. Super textures in what I guess is a dead juniper stump.

Fabulous capture Mark I hope he doesn't face a headwind if he sneezes then he'd be like the person in the BOC song: Home in the valley Home in the city Home isn't pretty Ain't no home for me Home in the darkness Home on the highway Home isn't my way Home will never be Burn out the day Burn out the night I can't see no reason to put up a fight I'm living for giving the devil his due And I'm burning, I'm burning, I'm burning for you I'm burning, I'm burning, I'm burning for you Very cool

Beautiful texture! I can imagine how it would disappear into the background, when all of that area is basically orange/brown. This is well done, and just right!

Yes, they should know each other. A great image and a great discovery. it is amazing how many forms can be found in nature, if you keep your eyes and mind open
