Description
In anticipation of one day becoming a grandfather – my son recently married – I have begun a series of images incorporating in them photos of my son from when he was a child. I posted one image in this series not too long ago titled Mighty Mouse To The Rescue. My son went thru many many phases. Mighty Mouse was one as was his fascination with dinosaurs. This project is a bit of a challenge because the photos I have of my son are of dubious quality, which in this case meant I needed to play with the dof to get an acceptable result.
I will heading back east tomorrow for the Thanksgiving Holidays and will not be able to be as conscientious as I would like with comments on your gallery posts. Apologies in advance for that. I will be visiting my afore mentioned son. I am a transplanted easterner, who lives in California. My son - like so may children I know of spawned by we transplanted easterners - has responded to what seems to me to be a migratory impulse, not unlike what salmon and monarch butterflies experience, and has sunk roots back into the soil from which I sprang. He lives in NYC. It will be good to see him and my old stomping grounds again, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and kin. I hope each of you reading this has someone to share your holidays with and something for which you are deeply thankful. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who visit my gallery regularly and thank you all for your comments and encouragement over the past year. It has meant a lot to me.

its a wonderful creation youve done a good job with what you had to hand it maybe worth appying a slight filter over the whole finished image as it may help to blend the colours together better

Very cool image, "X". I still love dinosaurs (LOL). Go back east to all that snow and leave all us left coasters in the middle of a drought!!! Have a good time and don't worry about us. We will be here when you return.

"Oh, MY! I sure remember him! He picked me up by my tail and gave me a painful whirl in the air. Then dropped me on my poor little head! After that, it's run for my life whenever I see him!" - T.Rex. Great image. This really gave me a good laugh at my alter ego's expense. Keep up the good work! :-)

Oh, I love this! It's kind of a role-reversal from all those old Godzilla movies! LOL What an great idea, and you really did an excellent job on this fun image! I'll bet your son gets a huge grin out of this! Well, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with him, my friend - comments can come later. I just hope you can GET to NYC without needing a team of huskies... :-D

I can not decide what I want to describe, to answer to. The image and Your words of description are both so important. I see spiritualy rich mam, very worm and good father, a true family man. To be honest I feel moved a little bit. Ok. I have to stop now :). Technically: I found Your fotomanipulation very true and suggestive. To Tell the truth, for First sight I was sure this is a photo of Your Kid, made years ago. Really big work, well done! About Thanksgiving...as You know this is not our Holiday, but because I feel You, Americans as great and friendly nation, I enjoy with You and thank God for turkeys ;-). God bless You and America :).

excellent montage, brings back memories of my father's neighbour's dog, a small yorkshire terrier called blue, which always used to dash up to say hello when we visited. He came dashing up as usual, took one look at the younger daughter, then almost 2, fell over himself and dashed right out again much to everyone's laughter and my daughter's chagrin — they instinctively seem to know who is going to pet them to death
