This male Grackle seems to have a bit of a problem. His overgrown beak did not seem to affect his ability to feed.
Researchers that study deformities in birds suggest that injury, disease, environmental factors such as chemicals, dietary deficiencies, or genetic tendencies could be the cause. Seen May '14.
