Description
Hm..... hi all.
I don't know if anybody's really looking. But here I am, back again.
This is sort of a repost - but I played with it a bit since then. I guess the image doesn't matter right now. If you don't care about my blathering, and would just rather move on to another image, go ahead. I won't be offended. Please. Go.
Assuming I'm talking to myself now, I named this piece after a song by Duran Duran. I guess the meaning of the song (and the significance of the piece and the subject's emotion) hasn't really sunk in until lately.
Here I sit much later. The partner of my past 20-some years decided to move on, decided she liked someone better - I guess he was more able to carry her baggage than I was. Good on him. I've also done a stunning job of alienating what few friends I've had so - I'm sorry to them - but I don't expect any forgiveness. I was an assh*le. But.... hey, at least I've still got my cats. The people I've worked with decided they didn't like me after all (probably with good reason). And the little hope I had that my art would appeal to anybody capable of shelling out even a measly $2 for a print - well, what was I thinking, seriously? Idiot.
So I'm back, tail between my legs. I'm not asking anybody's forgiveness, just letting you know I'm here.
Over the next little while, I'll post some of the pieces you haven't seen here. Then... crap. Who knows?
This piece? Heavily worked on through Furnace Forge.
