Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm so glad you got to see these! Aren't they gorgeous? I didn't know what they were when I posted a picture of them, so I looked them up and decided they were tamarack. The ID must have been written by one of those Eastern people! :P This is great!

OK, is it just me, or when I saw the title "Larch" I immediately heard the Monty Python sketch..."and...The LARCH!!" Must be me. This is lovely, and I didn't know any of that nature stuff about them!

With Denise, I TOO thought of the Python sketch, "No. 5. The LARCH...the........LARCH..." ANyway, you've taken this shot in the middle of everything, and it comes at us in a rush; and you've almost rendered this big forest a flat tapestry (that's a compliment). I love the golden trees in the background, like thinner elements in a floral arrangement. Very lush and contrasted work, Marilyn. You saw a lot of beauty on that trip.
