Description

She sat and reflected on the words of her parents tales of the word they grew up in. She wondered how wonderful it must have been, and why did it ever have to change. Because sometimes the word we remember from our youth isn't the word we see today. It could be because our eyes have opened with age and responsibility, or perhaps it is because things have actually changed. Sometimes they have changed for the better; all too often they haven't. Been missing for a week or so, just been busy and a bit preoccupied with the snow storm that hit just south of us last week. While I'm thankful we didn't get hit with it like they did, I'm saddened that there has been loss of lives and considerable damage due to the weight of the snow that fell only mere miles away. It hit hard where I grew up and still have family and friends. It was hard not to come home and glue myself to the local news to see what was happening. I see a recent update has altered some of the functionality of Daz 3D too. Hmmm, I'm going to have to learn a few new things and alter some of my normal methods for composing renders. This is going to be interesting. Hope you all have been safe and have had a peaceful weekend too. Thanks for viewing.

Magnificent composition of mood ambiance and poignance in this splendid scene, plus the profound narration below. Incidentally, I was wondering what happened to you. As for the weather, it's been an unusually warm and rainless autumn/fall for us here - T-shirt weather.

The bitter cold spell has passed for now. Today was actually quite warm, about 60 degrees. It has caused a lot of that snow that fell to melt too. This morning they reported that one of the creeks in the area was already near flood stage with the expected peak yet to come, and of course, it rained today too. One of the people I talked with who lived in the heart of the storm area said they measured 74 inches of snow at their home before it started melting. I lived through that sort of snow there too, but that was over a week and a half to two week duration; which is a lot easier to deal with than in only a couple days.
