Description

going back to this latest archery season, as always, I have my camera with me. this is a large patch of lichen on the ground (maybe Andrea can help with identification) the total size across was about 45cm. the colour is the cool part Thanks to the help of Andrea, I can possibly identify this as Physoconia grisea. it matches the images pretty closely. Thanks Andrea!

Wow, that's pretty cool - and pretty! Don't think I've ever seen a lichen that large 'leafed' in real life. :)

Mike, this is a really sensational photo. You are very smart to bring your camera long while hunting.

Your nature pictures are definitely something we can take a lichen to. You've got a great eye for this.

It is a Foliose lichen, but to get an ID you to know if the stone is acid or basic. Google these three Physcia adscendens, Physoconia grisea, and Phaeophyscia orbicularis and see what you think!
