Description

HC1: Humanity's Children Have Returned Yes the Cylons have returned to wreak havoc and destruction upon mankind. Hope you were not too disappointed with the outcome. I will post the original tomorrow I just started playing with the filters and the kaleidoscope filter mad some very interesting designs. I thought that it would make a nice countdown reveal type series. It just happened that when I started them it was going to end on Thanksgiving Day for those who celebrate. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanksgiving to me: I personally do not treat it as the day that the pilgrims were giving thanks the Indians because I believe that that is just a fairytale anyway considering what we have done to the indigenous peoples of the United States. I use it as a day to reflect on the things in my life that I'm thankful for like a job that I enjoy and having good health a family that loves me for who I am. Good friends and living in a country and time of history that I am allowed so many freedoms and afforded the opportunity to grow and learn as a person without fear of reprisals from others. I'm thankful that although my life is not perfect I am happy and content with the things I do have and want not the necessities of life. That being food clothing and shelter when there are so many in this world that would be thankful for just these three things I have these and so much more and try to appreciate it and not take it for granted. I'm thankful that I have my health I'm 46 years old and although I have my aches and pains I feel that I'm actuality in the best shape of my life even through the military years. I'm thankful for my family we are not super close but there are no family feuds dividing us. My parents love me and support me and my decisions and I love them and respect them both. I still take their counsel in decisions I make and am thankful that they are there for me. I'm thankful for my friends although I don't have very many the few I have are true friends, and not merely "good weather" or "virtual pseudo friends on Facebook" they are friends in the true sense that I see them and talk to them and do things with them face to face on a regular basis and enjoy being around them. They like me and accept me for who I am without trying to change me or judge me. I'm thankful that I live in a society that allows me to ask questions and to not follow the herd and to have such easy access to information that just 20 years ago you would have had to have gone to a library or talk to a specialist in the field to get the answer to. I'm thankful for the internet and what it has brought as far as learning and discovering new interest and subjects. I'm thankful for my creative abilities that I can express and show others my inner self through self expression of art poetry music and acting. I'm thankful for websites such as Rendersoisty that allows me to share my work with others who are like minded and are supportive of me and I in return get to see and hear other individuals ideas and points of view. Most of all I'm thankful for Being. Happy Thanksgiving Chris

Chris, this is a very cool series you came up with for sure. Being a huge Battlestar Galactica fan I instantly loved this one. As for Thanksgiving I am thankful to God for allowing me to be born in my beloved country and for providing me with such loving family and friends.

Thanks for following along Dave and I too think the 2004 BSG was one of the best shows ever. It showed people as human with all their flaws and frailties. i think Saul Tigh the XO was my favorite character.

Gorgeous image! For some reason, my first impression made me think of 'Childhood's End' by Arthur C. Clarke, but BG works too.
