Well, there's that Matisse lady again---in gold! The "painting" here is the more vivid part of the image: The sky lights up inside the frame, the tree lights up, and you have part of the tree moving through the frame and into the woman's space. Really well done. The gold nude seems to be a muse, she seems to be pulling both worlds together, or at least getting us to think about both worlds...The woman looking at the frame is very well rendered; and she looks immersed in the picture. The art world communes with the observer's world, and the two worlds intermingle. And the nude is sitting on a pedestal---a symbol, almost, from the classical world (even though the pedestal doesn't have any classical detail, ie, no fluting, no capital, etc). Because you do this so well, the image communicates immediately, it speaks to us immediately. I love how the tree mingles between the areas behind the frame and in front of it. And I love the nude---who seems like a 'muse' to me---sitting there, mysteriously imparting a 'presence'. More very fine work from you, and sensitive to the worlds of the past and present...
