So sorry to rant BUT I am so angry.
I have told you before about the dogs next door (the ones who chased Mr. Buck).
Mother is poodle/bichon cross. (she should NOT have been bred from because A, she is a mongrel (I have NO problem with mongrels, I have had them BUT I disagree with the prices people ask & why breed when there is no need to breed from them & B she has an undershot jaw. No way do you breed from an undershot or overshot dog.
She had two pups to a Bichon they kept both. I asked at the time where they going to castrate the dog pup (when old enough) or spey the girl pup & her mother. I told them if they castrated the dog & kept the bitches entire, he could still mate the girls (no pups of course) but it is not nice for either if they did that. I was looked at gone out. They really hadn't a clue.
Well guess what has happened the dog has mated his sister & she has 4 pups. Brother sister mating is a NO NO in the dog world.
I have known of litters that have has really bad health issues, among them epilepsy & MRSI.
My neighbours haven't mentioned the pups to me, think they are giving me a wide berth. None of my business but I am so fed up of people breeding with NOT a thought about the bitch or pups.
I also heard they went away & left them in the house, with just someone popping in. Aggggghhhhhh.
Just to say.
To be a champion you have to win 3 Challenge certificates. They are won at Championship shows.
A res CC is also presented in case the CC winner is disqualified then they get the CC.
My four girls in the pic are all big winners at shows,
Jasmine has 1 cc & 4 reserve cc's.
Hattie had 7 CC's & 7 res CC's.
Meadow has 6 CC's & 7 res CC's.
Carla 'B' got a res CC at 18 months old. I stopped showing her after the age of 2 so who knows what she would have done.
Bragging NO but what I am saying is I DIDN'T breed from any of the girls. (People in the breed said I should have.) Yes my perogative. I do get mad though when people like my neighbours don't give a fig!!!!!

Such a wonderful set of images of your girls. I have to share your angst against people that mindlessly keep breeding dogs and often as in this case without considering serious reasons not to. If a family wants a good dog there is no shortage of animals in shelters desperately looking for a loving home. If they are not looking to go into the show ring there is no reason to ever go pay money at pet stores or even worse puppy mills. Responsible owners such as you and Andrea are a wonderful example to others that they could learn from.

What awful, inconsiderate people. Too many of those around these days. I'd have been inclined to report them for leaving them regardless of someone "popping in". I hope they came home to mess and destruction. Then again, maybe not as they sound the type to hit the dogs or kick them out. Beautiful photos of your girls :)

What a nice opportunity to hear what a owner of Champion's have to say. Your wisdom should be passed around, and around Barbara. Some people just don't get it / or perhaps a big dose of ignorance stands in their way---Always. Rant away Barbara we are here to listen and learn. Thanks for the info.

I agree with your rant! and in some cases, these people should not breed (IMO) for their offspring carry on the stupidity that their parents had. and the cycle goes on. Wonderful photos and news about your wonderful girls.

Barbara, these are all wonderful photos of the girls. I'm so sorry your neighbor has you so upset and I can understand why.

I don't consider this a rant - just blowing off steam in my humble view . and that is good for the heart. On the other hand - a spectacular montage and an exceptional record of 15 CC's. Be proud of your girls and try not to think about what is going on next door.
