Meet Archimedes Watson, freelance scientist and certified genius. All his life he has been a wallflower, avoiding social settings as much as possible. Hence, at this stage in his life, he just turned 28, he lives alone and does all his work out of his parent's house which he inherited upon their deaths. They were both killed in a freak airplace accident while visiting Sexotic Island several years before. Their bodies were never recovered! Archimede has done a lot of freelance research and development for private companies and also the government and the proceeds from those contracts have allowed him to stock his basement research center with much of the latest in computers and other sophisticated electronics. Having worked with many divergent companies has exposed Archimedes to a great variety of influences in many different fields of study. He learns rapidly and grasps sophisticated concepts with an amazing depth of understanding. From these varied experiences, he has been able to construct his lab assistant, Hrman, Herman for short. While Herman isn't as smart as Archimedes would like, for a first attempt at robotics, he does provide a great deal of help around the lab. He helps keep the computers up and running with his diagnostic programs and in his spare time, he is able to sweep the floors and do other janitorial services that Archimedes would hate to have to hire someone from outside to do. Right now, Archimedes is racing to finish his latest project for a company in Germany. They have been attempting to build an AI that could be used in appliances and have given Archimedes a bonus monetary incentive if he can supply them with a working model by a certain time. Archimedes has run into a snag. His bank of computer servers have developed a glitch and he hasn't been able to determing the cause. Herman has been running all his diagnostics as well with no results. 'Must be those insidious Russian hackers again' thinks Archimedes.
