Description
This is part of the Margaritaville complex, at the cruise center, on Grand Turk Island. You can sit and drink up on the dry platform or sitting in the pool. It also included a huge restaurant. This photo was taken February 9, 2011 with my old Canon. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving with our youngest son and his family. We hope that everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving also enjoyed their day. It will zoom.
Grand Turk Island is the capital of the Turks & Caicos Islands archipelago and it is located 575 miles Southeast of Miami, Florida, and 30 miles south of the Bahamas. The Island is approximately 7 miles (11.3 km) long and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) wide. The average temperature ranges between 85-90 degrees F (29-32 degrees C) from June to October. From November to May the average temperature is 80-84 degrees F (27-29 degrees C). In an average year, Grand Turk has 350 days of sunshine. Approximately 4,500 inhabitants make Grand Turk their home. The island's primary language is English with Spanish and Creole also widely spoken. The U.S. dollar is the official currency. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept traveler's checks. Grand Turk is in the EST time zone and their cruise center is a frequent stop for cruise ships sailing from Miami, Florida.

What a cool bar, they had one like that in the pool at the hotel in Cancun when I was there several years ago for a business conference. I didn't spend any time at it (too busy with work) but I'm pretty sure my ex did. Great capture of the fun-in-the-sun folks!

These pool bars are all the rage even here in OZ, especially also in Bali, Jakarta - when I holidayed there in 1988 ! and all they have to soak up now - is a good tan ;)) BB
