Archimedes soon discovers how incredible Herman has become with the modifications he made to Herman's brain. Using some of the equations from his dream state, he was able to incorporate a touch of quantum mechanics into the circuits of Herman's new brain. Herman's improved mental capacities were soon revealed when he helped Archimedes deal with the little problem he'd been having with intermittent hackers attaching his mainframe. With suggestions from Herman, Archimedes was able to write a defense that not only protected his valuable data, but when attached, a signal was sent back to the hacker that effectively erased everything on his/her computer and melted the keyboard. Archimedes never saw these effects, but the news media caught wind of it and reported the phenomena on several nightly newscasts. Archimedes was chuckling about it when he saw it, and was surprised to hear what sounded like an attempt at laughter from Herman. That was a most astounding development. A computer that could develop a sense of humor? Unbelievable! As the time flew by, Herman made more suggestions about his own anatomy and with these inputs, Archimedes was able to fashion hands for him and once installed, work as effectively as human hands. Archimedes was again astounded at the sensitivity Herman displayed when handling anything with his new hands. More and more ideas poured out of Herman's new brain. One of the ideas from Herman was to develop an even more sophisticated brain. One that Herman hoped to one day interface with and perhaps develop more enhancements to his own body. The work was going along at an unbelievable pace one day, when Archimedes told Herman they needed to take a break. All these new revelations were getting to be more than Archimedes, or Archie, as Herman was starting to call him now, was comprehending. He just needed more time to get his mind around them.
