Description

This is a view of Taunton Somerset which is the Principal town of the County. It was taken yesterday from Blagdon Hill and the village of Blagdon Hill can be seen in the middle ground. I travel past this point several times a month and the view is always different. In the distance the Quantock hills can be seen.

Perhaps it is because England is drenched in history but when I read "This is a view of Taunton Somerset which is the Principal town of the County. It was taken yesterday from Blagdon Hill", my first thought was that there had been some sort of battle (smacks head). A spectacular view.
