Description
I took this on the way home from a trip to town yesterday. I always have my camera with me in the car & am always on the lookout for photo opportunities. Yesterday, there was a bright moon in the sky around sunset, but I was driving on a narrow winding part of the road that didn't have very many safe places to pull over. I finally got to a pullout, but the moon had disappeared behind a cloud. I took this photo while I waited for the moon to reappear & I actually like it better than the one I eventually took of the moon (next post, to follow immediately)...
Please zoom.
P.S. For those interested in my digital art, I just posted a new one here.

I don't know ... I think I like the other one better ... but they're different rather than "better" or "not better." (I can't say "worse," because you never DO "worse.") I think it's simply from a painter sort of point of view. The other one appeals more to my sense of color and shading and brush strokes.

I understand tara's response, as the next one has colors and textures this doesn't have. But I like them both equally. It's not just the sky and its blues against heavy yellows; it's the road that I like too. It has a grainy intense feeling that you've brought to a kind of electric intensity. And the way it winds, in back, into the light...I like all the dark in the foreground and along the sides. It's a dramatic shot, emanating out of darkness, and it feels like something big is about to happen beyond our sightline...
