Description

This is Anya a rescue Munster, she now lives in her forever home with a friend who had munsters for years & now has Border Collies. My friend said she is a pleasure to live with. Since I last saw her she has come on in leaps & bounds. Every breed has a rescue, (even noodle doodles). We have a superb rescue team. Some of the dogs when they come in are traumatised. It is the older dogs I feel sorry for, especially the ones who have to be rehomed because it doesn't get on with the new puppy addition to the house. (In that case the pup should go but I am sure they could get round that one). There are people who genuinly cannot cope or are unfortuntely ill. Breeders should be honest with new owners, they are not an easy breed, they are noisy & suffer from separation anxiety to name two things. I talk to new owners & its amazing how many times they say "The breeder didn't say they suffered from that" If anyone asks me I say they are an amazing breed but not easy & I tell them warts & all. Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

Oh what a beautiful girl! I can't believe someone would "get rid" because of a new puppy coming in. Don't they bond with their dogs? Once a dog is here, he or she is part of the family - treated like a child almost. I couldn't dump a dog after a week let alone several years. People are so heartless. They don't deserve to have ANY dogs at all if they can discard them like that. (stepping down off my soapbox)

Barbara, thank you so much for this thoughtful presentation. I think it is important that we rescue as many pets as we can.

Aw she is a beautiful looking dog. So nice to hear she is in a good, kind and loving home now. It is so important to have ALL The Necessary Information passed on when a puppy is adopted from birth. When we got "Misty" Jim and I went and bought a book about her breed, so we were well informed !

She's a lovely dog, they are a handsome breed, good to know she has loving owners now, but sadly so many dogs are still waiting and I feel come the new year the numbers will increase.. because a dog isn't just for Christmas, it's for it's whole life... or it should be avoiding unfortunate events that may find a dog in the dog's home, and not out of selfishness. Great shot of her.
