Description

Thanks to prutzworks for the tip on multiple layers. This scene actually looked washed out until I hit upon the right combination of lighting and atmosphere. Thanks for the comments - I'll try another layer next time. (Maybe a texture RGB map of stones!) I made the surface with an underlying strata layer, modified by a strata heightmap. I covered this with about 6 layers of vegetation colors and 3 layers of dirt and rock colors.

great surface, you might add one more layer at water level so the transparency looks different from the rest.

Intense surface, quite different (and good)! The water should be calm, maybe just not so perfectly glassy.
