That's one way to look at it. Its a lovely reflection and I really like what the ripples do to the image. But it does remind me of a horror film where you can see an attractive abstract in the water only to look up to see the monster ready to devour you.

Interesting shot, I like the idea of the reflections without seeing the flats on dry land. If you turned this upside-down you could have some great additional creative fun... the block would appear more pleasing to the eye as you mentioned but in the correct orientation.
