Description

This is a remake of a model I tried to create some time ago. When it wasn't working out, I quit. After TBKoen modeled it so well(see his gallery), I decided to give it another try. It's by no means finished but it's a thousand times better than the first. Thanks TBK for giving me a swift kick in the pants! Updates to follow...

Thanks:) But Damn, your body is so MUCH better! I just love his chest! It's not that i'm gay or something (Sorry gay people, i'm not gay!)It's just that I appriciate human or any other organic shapes. Cause i'm an artist!

Thanks, TBKoen. I felt the same way and for the same reason, though I'm not sure about the body being better than the one you did...

By the by, for anyone who cares, the back of this model is almost as cool as the front (if I do say so for myself...and I do). :>

You might want to put a hollow between the clavicles (collarbones), which are separate structures on most vertebrates in which they exist in the first place -- you've got kind of a protrusion there instead, which looks sort of odd. Otherwise, though, I think this came out /extremely/ well -- the torso's great (especially around the armpits. Those seem to be really hard to get right. You might give him a little more rib meat [anterior serratus muscle], considering how cut he is elsewhere, but that might damage the look of the model), and the sweep of the neck and head is very aesthetically pleasing. The blunt lower jaw seems a little, er, Creature from the Black Lagoon, but that may be what you're going for. Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks for the critique! I've actually gone ahead and given him "more rib meat" and it doesn't seem to mess with the mesh too much. However, as for the protrusion between the collarbones, I put it there on purpose. His race is supposed to be humanoid, not human and I'm trying to find little things like that to make it seem odd and unearthly. The head and back has gone through the biggest changes since this original post (more detail in the back and the snout is more streamlined) and when you all see it, I'm sure you'll approve. Funny thing, he's a wimp by his people's standards. Yeah, real scrawny, the rest have a body mass the size of Marvel's Thor and as tall as Marvel's Juggernaut. Atrius is closer to a Captain America...it's the only grading system I could dome up with. Sue me. :>
