Description

The soundscape of a paintscape in perspective Sorry for not being here more... and for lack of comments/faves. The past 6 weeks have not been good. A clean VUE render. No postwork. A little something to let you know that i am still ok. I am still not getting any better though... Doctors say it is a matter of patience.(i am almost out of patience :) ) The past 15 months have been real hard on me... Next CT scan late January 2015. Doctors conversation, early February 2015. I hope all are in good shape here on Rendo. If NOT.. you can always join my club :) Thanks for any comments and/or faves. And close to... Merry Christmas :)

Lars, this is one of those images that just leaves me staring at the screen. Only you can present a concept like this in such a captivating manner for all to enjoy. I'm sorry to hear you are going through such a rough patch right now and I'll pray for God to speed the healing process and grant you patience and better days.

Wow...this is surrealism at its finest, and also a kind of mystical folk piece too...The chamber is like a museum inside a private living room. I almost recognize some of the paintings---one looks like an anatomy lesson, by Rembrandt (but I don't think it's that painting..."Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp," something like that); one looks a little like Rembrandt's "Night Watch," but it's got things that aren't in that painting (Velasquez comes to mind too---these all look so familiar, but I can't place them); I recognize a king or prince on the opposite wall (King Louis XIV, maybe?); and there's a painting of a mansion, something like the Taj Mahal------this room is a collection of old valued pieces one would find in a very old castle where the art has been collected for ages. And you have a statue from antiquity, an old grandfather's clock, a semi-modern plant-pedestal, it goes on. You've added some very "Magritte"-like elements---those big floating orbs that we'd never see in a "real" room, but which are so right in the clean clear world of this dream-room. And this woman is sitting on one of those orbs: And you deftly show us her reflected legs, as if they were a chair she were sitting on---a terrific touch, Lars! Further, from the reflection, we see that this room opens onto a vast open field or road:. This very cloistered room opens into the cosmos... And she plays her golden violin, as if she's playing the music already encased in these walls. She's another of your mysterious wandering musicians who waft in and out of your images, bringing the music that's floating in the atmosphere. And it's all doused in a greenish tint; and it feels very private and beautiful, where the woman makes the privacy of this place 'public'---she makes it something for the ages. You have christmas decorations too---to welcome christmas for us. A beautiful surreal piece, Lars, with a sense of tradition mixed with modern; and a kind of ancient song that keeps it all aloft...I know your recovery has been very long and very trying. And you are exhausted from all the struggle and waiting. I wish you healing, Lars, and healing you can feel deep down. I'm terribly sorry it takes so long; you must be so tired of all this, even though the doctors tell you it takes time...I wish you strength and healing. And I thank you for coming here and sharing more of your unique vision with us...And don't worry about commenting...your healing comes first. (You've already come to galleries several times, and I'm sure everyone is as grateful as I am!) Get well, Lars, and know that our blessings are with you. Amazing you did art this detailed and expressive when you've been so tired. Thank you, and blessed holidays and New Year to you.

Impressive piece. I love the perspective. Classical and modernism seem to be entwined in a dance to music born of their marriage. Delightful. I hope things go as well as they can for you. {{{hugs}}} Sandy

Too late I find an artist to hear my praise, yet never too late to enjoy his work... rest and be comforted, my brother.
