Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

They look fine that far away, but as I've often said I find mountains really depressing! I love the red in this photo, it really makes it!

Beautiful capture, and yes, the red truck is terrific right in the middle (like the duck in the next shot). It's lone presence adds something wonderful to this big beautiful vista. It's a very bright shot too. You couldn't have gotten a better lineup of trees with mountains if you tried. (And it's generally not recommended to move the mountains yourself---it can cause hernias and upset some residents. That's what I'm told, at least.) Beautiful, Marilyn.

Very nice. It's a slight pity about that darn post though!

I've crossed those mountains more than a few times myself, probably on that same road...always amazing! What a beautiful view you've captured!

The Rockies are infinitely variable. This is one of the most beautiful bits!

An excellent panoramic photo and it is wide open out there!
