Description

Greetings Folks, As the 'lights' in my town consist of four small 40wt bulbs and a stuffed elf, I made a half hearted attempt to find 'The Real Christmas'. This was hard as life and people have mainly decided to treat me as .....well I'll leave that.. Anyway, while in London Town, killing time waiting for a Quireboys Gig to start, I walked around Angel (area of London folks).. There down Camden Passage was this.. Christmas as it used to be.. NO cars, VERY small shops with room for two people selling stuff that you WANT! NOT mega junk stores and things like that.. I took a photo for you.. Then got deaf as I hit the Gig.. Enjoy and Merry Festive to those who see this.. Rob

Rob, this is was a very nice idea for a photo. Don't worry believe it or not the true spirit of Christmas is still alive in some quarters out there, it just gets hard to find each year.

Oh now that's festive......afraid it's a similar story round here, we used to have a huge well decorated tree in the town centre. Now! a tiny tree with a single string of lights.....people out shopping have started hanging baubles on the fence around it as you can't get close enough to hang them on the tree......so sad! You picked the right photo, I love 'vintage' shops....a taste of the 'good old days'.....although if they're real furs??!! so un-PC it's marvellous.... Merry Christmas mate, 2pm Christmas Day I'll be raising my pint and thinking of you......everyone's welcome to join in......

This place looks like a real treat - I'd love to find a place like this just to soak up the calm...... Such a wonderful atmosphere, and what a superb photo, Rob! This really captures the serene feel of this delightful oasis of calm. Happy Holidays to you, mate. I really hope things get better for you in the coming year.
