Jack looked up and was for a few moments speechless. The woman in green stood at his table. She wore dark glasses and held a white king in her hand. He finally stammered: "Huh, are you blind?" "Should I ask you the same question?" "No, no, I'm sorry. Yes, this table 8." "Right. I'm Vera, so you must be Jack. I'm your blind date." "Yes, I'm Jack, but, but, I had no idea that you could be actually blind. I'm sorry Vera." Vera pinned him in his chair with her king. "Jack? Maybe I can't see very much, but I can talk and listen to you and maybe we can have a nice evening together. Please, don't run away now? Will you?" Jack recovered soon from his first dismay. A blind woman was never occurred to his mind. But she was right, why should he run away? He finally got out of his chair and they shook hands. Jack offered the girl to take her coat and hung it on the peg, while she sat down. He offered her some wine and she accepted it. Before they started to talk, she stood up again and said: "Jack, may I ask you something unusual?" This is what was going on.
