Description

Another of a series of shots from when I went bin-diving in the recycling. I don't drink any sugary fizzy stuff as I hope to make my last few remaining teeth last my time. My lodgers seem to have no such concerns, but they are young. See a monochrome inverted version of this photo Here

I like the mono invert. Such a simple subject, but with light, shadow, layers, color ... they're fascinating as objects!

I far prefer Coke over Pepsi, but this makes a fascinating photographic study.

Phil Harris (June 24, 1904 – August 11, 1995) was an American singer, songwriter, jazz musician, actor, and comedian. He once said that "If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself." But then, every young person is immortal. I like this freeform art, especially the black and white version.

Awesome work, I like the black and white one's the best. I quit cola's years ago because it eats up you esophagus lining over time, they don't want anyone knowing that though. But think about all the internet posting on using Coca Cola to clean this or that, if something is that harsh / strong enough to remove hard stains, then just think what is it doing to your insides!

Nice shot, I do like the monochrome inverted version, adds a whole new vision to them.

Lovely work, it looks so soft and polished; I don't drink it much either.

I don't drink it either......well maybe occasionally but I make a point of never buying it regularly to have in the fridge!

Delightful treatment of the Pepsi cans (don't really care for the flavor) Both versions are great

A number of people prefer the black and white version: I think it's well done (no surprise), but I think the color is masterful. It has the soft gold hues you get in your perfume series, and this is a shot of "bottles" after all. And there's that soft blue too, in the reflections. And your morphing lights: The cans are beautiful this way, pure chrome-like surfaces with highlights and shadows; and those deep blues against golds and silver suddenly become art statements, pure visual dialogue. Maybe they've passed on and these are their sarcophagi, blazoned for future generations, to come worship them. I think it's beautiful. I love how you turned these ugly things into a stunning still life. You do bottle-like objects beautifully. (Re things passing away, you know the story of the twins? They were born together but separated the first day. They lived long fruitful lives, never meeting once, or even knowing the other existed. Then, after long lives, they got ill, and---miraculously---wound up in the same hospital room. They lay in silence for days. Finally, as they neared the end, one turned to the other and said: "So...what'd ya think?")
