My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A wonderful shot. The visual richness echoes the monetary richness of it's subject. In my book, you're the undisputed master at this type of image...

A wonderful example of the creature comforts enjoyed by people even on the edge of the frontier. I especially like the animal head spouts.

yeah, those animal head spouts are terrific. Reminds me of the illuminated manuscript beasts. Your capture of the yellow gold light on these silver pieces is beautiful. It makes them look more gold than silver. And, no matter what condition the silver's in, we don't see any scratches or marks from years of polishing and tarnishing---only pure milky silver. While your composition is centered, the angle takes away from the sameness of centering and makes it look quite varied. Beautifully composed; and the table has a creamy feeling...beautiful work once more. (You probably already know this, but it's germane with this piece. In the Renaissance, artists drew with pure chunks of silver, and then let the silver tarnish until it looked like a rich graphite. It was richer than graphite, with a slightly bronzey tint. And it only takes a week or so to tarnish. ((The original drawing was a very light gray.)) It was called "silverpoint," and several artists used it such as da Vinci. Thought you'd find that interesting, on the off-off-chance you didn't already know it.) (Here's a link for a da Vinci silverpoint: It has red wash, but the line work is exquisite! It's just too small, but it's all they had online.
