Meadow & Jasmine stood & watched, from a distance, the panther & her cub slowly walk over the iced pond. Then disaster struck as the cub reached the middle, the ice cracked & the cub fell in the icy water. Jasmine took a gasp, Meadow stepped forward. "Wait." Jasmine told her. "Don't be too hasty, Panthers are wild animals & could well attack us, especially with her having a baby." "But, we cannot leave the cub in the icy water, she will die of the cold in minutes." Meadow replied & walked towards the ice. Jasmine followed, very slowly behind Meadow. As they reached the edge of the ice they both lay down so that they looked as if they were submitting to the panther. The mother looked over at Meadow, her face looked soft & a little worried. "Can we help? Meadow whispered. "We would like to try if you would let us." The mother panther turned towards meadow. "That would be very much appreciated." she said. "We were on our way to meet up with the white tiger. I did see you over the hill & wondered if you were meeting her too?" Jasmine could hear all that was going on, she thought all seemed well so she edged a bit nearer. Suddenly Captain Jack & Truly appeared over the brow of the hill. Zlata was with them but she kept to the trees just in case there was trouble. "But Captain Jack told us some big cats had escaped from the park & to be very cautious." Meadow told the panther. "Anyway enough chatting, let us get your baby out of that cold water, we can talk later." So meadow, Jasmine, Captain Jack & Truly all came to the rescue of the panther cub, who they found out was called Tebo. Zlata said she would stay near the trees & watch out for Zwoggle who was making his way up the hill. Always some good excuse with Zlata!!!
