Description
Captured back on 7/30/08, within long trekking distance of my heavenly hovel.
Just for the record, the original is on top.
I dubbed it a roan because it bears a similarity, paint-wise, to a horse of that variety.
Have a nice day.

My, that one looks to be a bit of an oldie. I like the split image; the car behind it looks a little threatening though. Some nice creativity on this set.

Yes, the original car does have a 'roan' look to it. (I've heard that word about cattle, but didn't know it applied to horses too. I haven't seen a horse in ages!) (Haven't seen too many cows either, even though I'm in the Midwest.) The car has a certain graininess to it that I like. And I like the slightly down and angled pov. Gritty angled shot, I like the feel of it. The 2d one brings out the "roan" part---it has the coloration of a big cow! With a milky light inside many of the shapes; kind of apocalyptic. 3d is more of your high key work, with grain and a mix of newspaper and etching styles. (Your high key work is every effective, Harry. You take to it naturally.) And your 4th, a mirror-image image, is something I know you like to do with some of your montages, ending with a sudden split. It always "opens up" the montage and sends everything out into the 'world', for me. It's amazing how it makes a street suddenly seem like a cul-de-sac. I like claude19's remark: Very complimentary indeed, and I'm glad he said it. Your imagination is wonderful.

As ever, it's hard to follow Mark; he says what I would say if I had enough synapses left to think coherently and put words together! So I'll be banal and say something like "I haven't seen an auto dappled with primer like this in quite a while. I guess there aren't as many self-repairers here as there are in So Cal. Excellent shot and very creative choices for your variations! I also like that split-screen one very much." Great work, Harry!
