Description

Hi dear friends, This is to wish you all a blessed and merry Christmas. The words of the title are from cantate nr 1, by Johan Sebastian Bach. Translated into English: "How beautiful lights up The Morning Star". For those who are interested in a few more words from this cantate, here the final chorale: Wie bin ich doch so herzlich froh, Dass mein Schatz ist das A und O, Der Anfang und das Ende, Er wird mich doch zu seinem Preis Aufnehmen in das Paradeis Des falt ich froh die Hände Komm du schöne Freudenkrone, bleib nicht lange Deiner wart ich mit Verlangen. Those last words I've translated for you: Come thou lovely crown of joy, do not stay long I await thee with desire. With joy and happiness to you all, your Jacomina~Mies. btw, this is an Apo-fractal, with an FE-fractal, as a soft background

Oh Jacomina, I studied "Wie schön leuchtet Morgenstern"---especially the opening and closing movements; the last for the chorale, of course, and the first for the oh-so-typical Bach "chorale prelude," with its slow tranquil chorale melody floating above the music, while the music below moves like a lushly flowing river...from heaven straight to Bach's pen. And I can tell you, your image flows like the music flows; in fact several of your lines, here, feel like music staves, with actual notes on them. But your fractal also feels like a big German church, from the Baroque era, with its heavy vaulting in the ceiling and the heavy posts going down from it. Including the typically rich decoration all around it. You captured all that. But beyond all that, you got the feeling of an appearing 'star'...Your deep blues are beautiful, and the wavy effects are like silk; a big silken fractal for Christmas. Bach would have approved. A beautiful image for the holiday, and I hope yours was wonderful and warm, and filled with love; and that the love carries with you throughout the whole year. A wonderful holiday to you and your loved ones! (Can I tell you more? I went through 2 years where I played every Bach cantata, one each sunday, at one of my synthesizers, with headphones. I know, it's not the typical Bach instrument---and the historically informed interpreters of today might pass-out at the very thought. But a good synthesizer can produce organ and strings, and all kinds of other celestial sounds. So every week, I'd play through another cantata, and even sing a few of the lines. I also played, in that time, all the Bach Chorale settings ((4 part)) and all the organ chorale preludes. It was heaven. It was just heaven. So when you posted this, I jumped out of my seat. Your image is perfect for the music and for the season.)

OH this is lovely, Jacomina and so is the cantata. I found it on youtube with Partiture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz9_25PyJ_w . When I was a young girl. I was learing in a music public firm, where we sold notes of classic Music. And so, also plenty of notes from Backs Cantatas. I am listening to it in this moment.
