Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

You are very clever to be able to knit something like this. I knitted a scarf once!!!

Very nice.

A very colorful array. I'm not a sweater fan as they tend to make me feel hot & itchy. I own two of them & very rarely wear them...

Holy mackerel! I thought you had taken your camera into a clothing store. A very colorful collection. I like sweaters but living in Southern California I seldom get to wear them.

I'll be right over, and will rearrange them for you. And then rearrange them again. And perhaps a third time. What fun! All those yarns, all those colors ... this is a feast!

You have to be prepared! They say an ice age is overdue! Great close up of the most vital winter wears. I say that now I'm getting old!

If it hadnt been because I recognize some of your sweaters, I would have thought the same as wysiwig. HAHAHA! Man you got sweaters alright. Beautiful too. I feel cozy just looking at them :-) I guess you have enough :-))) Or maybe just one more..... :-P I know you love to knit :)

Such wonderful colours, this is so ripe for some additional post work with those colours really being the key element to truly getting some interesting results.

Lots of great colours to photograph but trying to decide which one to wear could be a problem.

I totally get it. I have 2 million scarves...A great collection---and did you knit all these? Well some of them don't look knitted, but you did say you haven't knitted one this year, so I gotta wonder if you did alot of these yourself. I love how you get art out of the objects of your life: This is beautiful and really festive. And I have to wonder how many materials you have here---wool for sure, some cashmere too? acrylics? alpaca? Lots of different sheens...Like Tara, these could be re-arranged and re-arranged for different images. There was a whole fabric-art movement in the late 1900's; this isn't that far from that. A real feast for the eyes. Take another shot when you re-arrange them...
