Description

We finally got a clear night, so I got out my 20x80 binoculars and hunted down Lovejoy. It is easy to find. Right now it is in Lepus. Find Rigel in Orion and find Sirius, the two brightest stars. Go down from Rigel and right from Sirius. That is Lepus. The comet will be a the top of Lepus. It is a smudge of gray right now but fun to find.

Cool! now I want to go out and find it, too! We've had a lot of overcast nights, so maybe I'll get a chance over the next couple of days… Thanks for the tips on finding it!

I dont seem to be able to stay awake long enough to see this. Will wait until around 14th Jan when it should be up near M45, clear skies permitting..... Nice post Jody & happy new year.....
