Fantastic idea and image. The lady should take a look behind her, the guy which is standing at the window does not look very friendly. Outstanding work!

Your recent work has forayed into human situations, with strong human presence and mysteries. They've been bold and suggestive, and often exploring dark or unanswered situations. Mua, here, is lost in thoughts which feel veiled to us, and I like the ambiguity and inwardness of her musings, that she's not revealing more than she wants. Her posture seems relaxed yet slightly vexed (her facial expression reiterates that); and I like very much how you cut off her body so that we only see the upper torso and her knee (which is a visual balance to her head and bust---a very nice flow in and out of the image). She's wearing a chain-link pattern, which I can't help thinking reflects some interlinking feelings in her, as well as a sense of being slightly imprisoned by something she's thinking. The whole piece has a greenish-sepia tint, somewhat jaundiced but also mysterious. The red eyed monster is menacing, but somehow she seems strong enough to not be concerned, even though she's not overtly aware. He just doesn't seem her match, somehow, from the way you've created this. Standing behind those pillars is like he's standing behind bars. Further, you've given him a tarnished brass patina, as if he's tarnished and not fully powerful; and he's surrounded by a trunk that, for me, echoes her torso and leg, as the flow of her body has come around and trapped him. A gothic image (well, colloquially, though the castle-like room would enhance that), and very well articulated, Mandi, with mystery and a fine use of the female model, filled with recession, self immersion, and strength. Very well done, it communicates heavy feelings and is, to me, somehow positive in the end...
