LE CORNU DES BRUMES ( The Horned of the Mists ) DAZ Studio + Photoshop... FULL SIZE HIGHLY RECOMMANDED !!!... This image represents an adult male of "Humbaba" species, also called "Two-Horned Humbaba", one of the six sub-species of humbabas. The Horned Humbaba inhabits the cloud forests of the volcanic "Misty Mountains" of Kush, the main continent of the planet Kailash... Humbabas are found on the slopes of the dormant volcanoes ; the vegetation is very dense at the bottom of these mountains, and the forests where they live are often cloudy, misty, and rather cold in winter. Adult males wear a thick and long grey-brown mane... The "Humbaba" is Dinoraul's Hauryx, and the tree is Dinoraul's "Asplenium Australasicum"... Quelle merveilleux spécimen, Gilles, personnellement, après mes recherches et des années passées dans ces contrées assez inhospitalières, je n'ai jamais pu les approcher d'assez près pour en avoir une photo aussi précise! ;-) Un personnage fantastique bien mis en scène dans ce beau décor, excellente image, Gilles!

Nous voilà transportés dans un monde étrange, quasi préhistorique, où ce "cornu" a son territoire.....la végétation est splendide, et j'aime beaucoup les différents plans de paysages, avec la brume.....ton image est super bien construite, Gilles, magnifique travail !

Wasn't Humbaba the monster of the Lebanese cedar forests that Gilgamesh killed in "The Epic of Gilgamesh"? However that may be, this is a very well made image of what could have been Humbaba's appearance. The Epic portrays him as big and frightening! Keep up the good work! :-)

Yes, it was a wink to the name of the giant monster killed by Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu in "The Epic of Gilgamesh" ! But this one is not as big as the Guardian of the Cedar Forest !!
