Great work, wonderful 'colours'. Really like the houses. But maybe you can consider softening them a bit (in Gimp) to make them appear older/ more in the distance?

I'm so glad I got a new Mac with a 27 inch monitor last fall, it makes zooming an image like this a real joy, because it wholly fits inside my monitor. I like the sepia gray, and it has a subtle sheen. I love the european village folktale houses in the background, which look so right with your overall hue. I like how it has two peaks, and one door---very old and folklore-ish. And I like the perspective where the elf stands above the roofline. Great expression, and the outfit is a kind of shield-laden Medieval thing. Very well articulated. The feel and tone reminds me of the photographs of the Depression, here in the states; but the subject material is European folklore, with a heavy Medieval feel. Large, this thing is fun and impressive. You're really exploring new territory---at least with us (if you haven't already been exploring it on your own for a while)---and it's a wild ride. I really like this. I don't know if this is a he or she, but whoever it is, they definitely are standing tall. Fine work once more, Mandi.
