Description

Ink and watercolor on yupo paper. Yupo paper is glossy. That is why there are reflections. Sorry about that. I am trying to give myself some inspiration, as it is not going so well with my "muses" in the new year. For the first time, the grey kitten came into the patio for a few minutes and left again. The other came very close to me all alone this time. )about a foot, so I could have touced him but i didnt.Want to giver them more time. AND the grey one i found sleeping in the cardboard box with the warm blanket in it on the outer terrace :) Thank so much you for your kind comments to my prev postS :-)

Helle, you are one of the most creative artist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I just love this water doodle idea. Thank you also for the update on the kittens.

I LOVE this and I think the shine adds to it. I love using shiny surfaces for some media. I am doing another acrylic on shiny board. Those kittens will be in the house soon....

Its a fantastic scene under water Helle:) It don't seems that muses let you 'go' on the contrary! I also love the shine and the white figure in the left is very curious also...congratulations:)

I want to do some of your Rhine shots, but I'll do them in the next session...for now, this amazing doodle: It's truly a terrific painting Helle. I don't know if you let the paint spread onto the paper, and then you turned it into creatures, following the 'call' of the paint-blobs and letting them tell you where to go; or if you created these creatures from scratch, but you created a whole little universe here; and not only are the creatures wonderful---with your very careful outlining and line-work overall---but your colors are a kind of rainbow, as are your textures---the outer edges have a grainy texture, as if you added physical grain to the piece. And the reflections on the paper are terrific, they aren't intrusions at all. (I wonder if your inner eye didn't like them, because they only add to the feeling of "underwater".) This is more than a doodle: It's a beautiful fantasy painting. And your signature is terrific, there! There's one little creature on the far left who definitely wants to be "in the shot". A terrific piece! I'll be back for more soon...

When your muse has "left you," you're still more creative than most people are when they're in full swing! This is a delight, and full view was like a trip into a fantasy world. I got totally immersed in your water world! :)
