It is very interesting - consider the ivy growing out of the ground, reaching up with its many fingers to capture the building and holding it fast. this is not plain but mysterious

Like most people's homes. All the attractive bits are out front but in the back, well no one is ever going to see it anyway. The wall crawler adds a lot of interest to this image.

Nice one Jeff, if you ever want "plain and not much to look at" just come to the non tourists areas of South London mate. If I were going to negate the shot in anyway, to me it'd be the damned cars, you can never get a shot without them these days eh? NO this is by no means plain and not much to look at, there is tons to look at here. And my guess is Wisteria and not ivy? Which must look pukka in summer!
