Description

What do you mean it is finished? This madam virtually met us at our campsite in the Kgalagadi. Many of these ground squirrels have nests (dens?) inside the camps where it is much safer from predators and although people should not feed them, they do. She was very persistent in looking for a morsel!

What an adorable creature! Smart too if they build their little communities in close range to predator-repelling humans! This is simply amazing and your squirrels look so different from the surly things we have in Chicago.
