Today, January 13 th its tradition to celebrate the new year... seen in Urnäsch, Wald, Hundwil - in a valley of Appenzell / CH out of bed very early for this, but not early enough, much people there for celebrate... next year I will find better places for photography... The Old New Year or the Orthodox New Year is an informal traditional holiday, celebrated as the start of the New Year by the Julian calendar. In the 20th and 21st centuries, the Old New Year falls on January 14 in the Gregorian calendar. (from Wikipedia) - I think it was the Julian calendar? anyway still celebrated...:-) and its beautiful to see and hear!
