Description
During WWII watch towers were erected along the coast. This one is in Volusia County, Florida (South of Daytona).

Stellar shot of the watch tower and environs, Melinda. Since it was erected for wartime duty, I'm surprised it wasn't constructed much higher.

Superb capture of this watchtower; seems like it would have been better if it were taller, but maybe that few feet of height gave enough of an edge in lookout technology. Love the rich colours of the sky and water!
