Oh, a really fine image! Your composition is so expressive, with her face to one side, and that gray skyline on the other. The skyline looks American, like Manhattan---it looks much more American than European. And, you didn't give a "bottom" to the skyline: You just left the horizon off: The skyline fades into white space at the bottom, a wonderful, subtle choice. But the right-side is dominated by this very millennial looking young woman: stern gaze, serious, a bit detached; and your usual use of minimal elements is at its peak---ie, beautifully drawn lips (with hints of red wash), an intense heavily black eye (with a wonderful outline of blue), all that black for hair and upper torso, etc. You use black very expressively here. A very expressive image, using minimal means, but very expressively so. And I love the way the woman's shoulder flows into the the image like a series of coastal jetties or piers. Beautifully done, Yves. I know that I don't comment here everyday; but I am very, very slow at comments with everyone on RR. I often only comment in a few galleries a week. But please know that I SEE everything you post (and I always zoom); and when I do comment, I spend a lot of time. I've been in your gallery, now, for an hour; and while I've only left 7 comments, I did spend time with the images, as I commented. So I try to make-up, in effort, what I don't make-up in frequency. Amazing to be here, once more. You do beautiful work.
