Description

Captured 1/17/15, from Trader Joe's parking lot in beautiful Cerritos, California. I was admittedly seeking high drama when I blindly aimed my camera toward the firmament above for a series of high contrast photos. As often happens in my sky shots, the camera LCD monitor was completely washed out, so all I could hope for was a decent composition. Oh, and don't try this at home. Over and out.

Those wispy clouds make a lacy net over the blue sky; gorgeous shot, Harry!

Big dramatic overhanging shot, with a bleached out sun on top of it. It always amazes me how the sun can become a characterless off-white ball, sometimes, as it does here. You give enough horizon to ground the shot; and with that looming sky, even the building seems dwarfed. Deep blues too, for mystery...A dramatic sweeping shot, and more of your dramatic cloud work. I'm just sorry they don't lead to more rain for you.
