Description

Going back through my archives to a trip along the Oregon coast in 2012, I found several photos that I passed over the first time around that I thought might be worth a second look. Also, at that time, I was using HDR a little too heavily (I now think, with hindsight), so I may possibly re-post some shots with a little more restraint (but not too much). This one was taken at Shore Acres State Park, which is one of my favorite areas on the coast... Please zoom.

How beautiful this is! I'm not a fan of too much HDR myself, always reminds me of those ghastly hand coloured postcards of my childhood.

I like those hand-colored postcards! To me, they simultaneously have both a nostalgic & surreal quality to them.

Wonderful shot! I'm beginning to think about an Oregon coast road trip this fall and shots like this definitely encourage the idea.

Fantastic shot, one can almost hear the waves. The vivid colors work very well.

Gorgeous! I love the rocks. Well ... okay ... that's sort of the whole point of the Oregon coast ... but I mean the ones in the left foreground. Their angle gives the scene a sense of time passing, of erosion taking place. Wonderful image!

What Hendesee said of this stellar scene. Like a painting, it is! And I also like hand-colored postcards. Durleybeachbum is hard to please.

Wonderful capture and postwork almost surreal in nature without the postwork

I agree that it is a little over-processed, but saying that, you captured a wild and woolly place very well.
